In Music we explore composition, performance and listening/analysis. Lessons are predominantly practical and high levels of collaboration and self discipline are expected from students. We use keyboards as the main classroom tool, although students are encouraged to bring their own instruments and there are opportunities to explore and create music using computer software.

Individual and Group Instrumental tuition is available for a range of instruments – including strings; woodwind – flute, clarinet, recorder and saxophone; piano; acoustic, electric and bass guitar; drum kit; ukulele and voice. Please note there is a charge for these lessons.  The joining up letter is below should your child be interested in this extra tuition.

Music Instrumental Tuition Letter 2016-2017

Students are encouraged to join in all or any of the after school Music Activities and also have the opportunity to use the Music facilities at lunchtimes to play or rehearse as bands.
